Here the Y refers to Yoakam, the 2 refers to this guitar's relation to the famous J-200, and the K could refer to "Killer," which this guitar is. The Y2K was created especially for Dwight and is handmade by master luthiers at Gibson Montana. It combines the smaller body, classic double pickguards of the Gibson J-180, with the Mustache® bridge, crown inlays, and flamed maple back and sides of the J-200. It also features a hand-selected Sitka spruce top and gold Keystone tuners. A limited edition of 100 will be crafted in 1999, and each will have a label signed by Mr. Yoakam himself. Score one now. It's a cool way to celebrate the start of the millennium.
