The A2.2 XOM preamp has a small remote control pad with a volume and mix control that mounts without modification at the inside edge of a guitar's soundhole. XOM technology uses the UST and AST to sense the guitar sound from 2 different locations, making a sound that is much more complete, true, and pure. The preamp is housed in a lightweight all-metal box that can be mounted inside the guitar at the side or back. It is powered with a 9-volt battery (not included). The reproduced sound is amazingly clear and pure. The A2.2 kit provides all the mounting hardware, 9-volt battery clip, and wire harness.
