A stunningly authentic re-creation with the patina of a much loved and played original. When introduced in 1958, Gibson decided to abandon the familiar gold finish and use a translucent, cherry sunburst finish which would show off the highly figured maple tops that were often used on Les Pauls. The renamed Les Paul Standard made its debut in 1958. This Custom Authentic model is true to the original in every respect.
