Everything you ever fantasized about in a high-end guitar plus a lot more you never even dreamed of. Gibson has taken the Les Paul Elegant to a new level of excellence -- a new level of elegance. To reduce weight and increase the body's resonance and interactivity with the amp, this guitar features dynamic chambers in the mahogany/maple body. The AAA-grade figured maple top glows with a deep iridescence. The cream binding around the top and neck is contoured to cover the fret ends. It matches the pickup supports and sets off the unique Peacock color. Gibson's Custom Shop only produced two Elegants in this color this year, and our buyer was so smitten that he had to pick up one to offer our Private Reserve customers. The natural multi-chromatic luster of the expansive abalone inlays, set in dense ebony, really ties the neck in with the body visually -- as the fine craftsmanship in the set joint ties it in tonally.
