Designed by Ned Steinberger and made in the Czech Republic which has a long-held reputation for producing the highest-quality upright basses. In its June 2000 issue, Bass Player magazine, citing its impeccable craftsmanship, stated, "This bass plays so well, in fact, that upright players may find it plays too easily." Solid rock-maple neck and body with a flamed maple face. The neck has a traditional profile and is fitted with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. An active 18V hum-canceling preamp with volume, bass EQ, and treble EQ controls is wired to both a Polar® bridge-mounted piezo and an EMG magnetic pickup. Comes with a foldable chromeplated tripod stand, a padded Cordura bag for the bass, and an interior bag for the tripod stand.
