The Model 801 is a no-compromise 8-channel mic pre that provides a virtually invisible audio link between your microphone and recorder. It captures the most subtle ambient information and complex harmonic structures to help you deliver reference-quality tracks and create a new level of sonic realism. Each of the 8 preamps features a 24-step gain control knob with gold contacts and precision metal-film resistors, and a gain range of 18-64dB in 2dB increments. A relay-controlled 20dB constant-impedance attenuator, polarity-reversal switch, and 48V phantom power switch are also featured on each channel. The separate 1U half-rack power supply minimizes interaction with the preamp circuits and has a 10' cable. With 8 world-class mic preamps in one 2U chassis, it's the perfect front end for any workstation or tape machine.
